Thomas Stevens, a weaver in Coventry, England, began procducing woven silk images in the 1860s. Marketing them as "Stevengraphs", their popularity grew, especially as collectable items. From the 1870s to the early 20th century, Stevengraph Works produced over 200 designs; these included portraits of royalty, politicians, athletes, and military figues, images of famous buildings, ships, and other transport vehicles, and historical and classical scenes.
There exists a large collection of Stevengraphs at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Coventry, England: https://www.theherbert.org/collections/social-and-industrial-history/18/stevengraphs
