G.A.R. Veterans

Description

This subseries contains glass plate and film negatives of G.A.R. Vets and their spouses at various events throughout New England. G.A.R. vets were the Grand Army of the Republic, a fraternal organization composed of veterans of the Union Army, Union Navy, Marines, and the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service who served in the American Civil War for the Northern and Federal forces.
