Description

Set of nine architectural drawings of house for Herbert N. French in Newton, Massachusetts (commission #302) including four elevations, four plans, and one topographic map. No elevations or plans are dated or signed. Topographic map dated 1929 is on starch-coated cloth and is by Rowland H. Barnes and Henry F. Beal, Civil Engineers, Newton and Waltham, Massachusetts.

Drawings depict a two-story Cape Cod-style house with two front dormers, a slate roof, and a shingled exterior. House has a living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, covered porch, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms. A maid's room and bathroom are shown in the attic.
