Description

Scrapbook containing materials dated 1930 to 1936.The majority of the materials are newspaper clippings, particularly the "Home Building Plans" column in the Boston Evening Transcript, which features houses designed by Royal Barry Wills. One plan is by Hugh A. Stubbins Jr. Also included are articles written by Royal Barry Wills and published in various magazines. These include: "How to Find a Job during a Depression (Pencil Points, January 1932); "The Pursuit of the Elusive Client" (Pencil Points, June 1931); "The Vicious Circle of Jobs by Hand" (The American Architect, June 1930); "The Vicious Circle of Hand Work is Costly" (Boston Transcript, June 1930); and "A Real Low Cost House" (Pencil Points, June 1932).
