Description

Untitled design drawing rendered in pencil on trace and mounted on board. Perspective view of a chair is shown. Arm chair has back composed of three interlaced pierced ovals with carved foliage on applied rounded ears; horizontal arms with outwardly scrolled hand holds; curved arm supports; carved front seat rail; cabriole back legs with pad feet; and cabriole front legs with large carved acanthus leaves on knees and ball-and-claw feet. Embossed on lower left corner is: "Return to / A. H. Davenport Co. / 96 Washington St." Remainder of address is missing. Printed on corner of mounting board is "301."
