Series V, Papers of Edmund Coffin (1764-1825), 1790-1827, undated (#C.1.19-C.1.26), contains personal and professional correspondence; account sheets for the shipping of domestic goods; receipts (including taxes paid); and legal documents. The legal documents include estate papers; land deeds; deeds of ownership relating to church pews; terms of guardianship regarding Coffin's minor children following their mother's death; and a leather manufacturing license. The series also includes Coffin's 1816-1819 account book, which includes photocopied pages from the account book and additional documentation and accompanying material relating to the fragment of wallpaper used to cover the account book. See #C.1.41 through C.1.43 and OB.1.11 for related material regarding Coffin's handling of estate matters on behalf of Joseph Coffin (1702-1773), grandfather. The series is arranged alphabetically by record type, then by topic.
