Description

This subseries is a group of 69 glass plate, acetate and nitrate negatives from Yankee Publishing that were not included in the original listing from Lorna Trowbridge. This subseries of negatives were not interfiled into the general subjects, geographic, or any other series because it is believed that these negatives were grouped together for a specific, but unknown, reason. Each negative is individually numbered, from numbers 5 to 65. Not all the numbers are consecutive and some original negative sleeves has numbers crossed out and then renumbered. The negatives include a wide variety of scenes, mainly focused on family events. Included are images of a Jones family wedding, Bert's Christmas tree, Bertha's May Party, and Dad's 77th Birthday. Many of the negatives are labeled as Grafton. Also included are images of Knowlton's auto, several group portraits, various scenes of an unknown camp, and images of “Hubert's House.” Also included are scenes of a general store and an icehouse in Dunstable, Massachusetts. Lastly, the subseries includes images of a float in an unknown parade and several photographic portraits of “Elsie's S.S. class.” Five acetate negatives in this series showed some series levels of decay and vinegar syndrome. They have been removed to Box 36.
