Description

This subseries includes glass plate and nitrate or acetate negatives of various fires and fire related events throughout New England. The negatives feature fire equipment, such as fire towers, trucks, and pumps. Also included are images of forest fires throughout New England and fires in various New England locations, such as Burlington, Cape Cod, Groton, and Boston, Massachusetts, Nashua and Stoddard-Marlow, New Hampshire, and Yarmouth, Maine. Negatives 1083a - 1083e, 1115, 1137-1138, and 1140 are nitrate negatives and were removed to Box 19, container 000017835.
