Description

One black-and-white photographic print of the interior of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Newhall's house at 123 Central Avenue in Southbridge, Massachusetts. The house was one of seven three family houses built by the American Optical Company for workers and their families.The houses are part of the Twinehurst American Optical Company Neighborhood, a residential historic district. The photograph depicts a a splat-back chair, a side table with a candle and decorative bowl, a rug, and a small silhouette hung on the wall. The photograph is on the back of a postcard. The photographer is unknown and it is dated circa 1920.
