Handwritten text on the item verso reads "On the left is the house where John Adams lived after he was married. The one on the right is where he was born. It was built in 1681. These two houses are on the corner of Presidents Ave. and Independence Ave., Quincy, Mass. Purchased 23 March 1925 for $1, without right of publication. If reproduced we pay Keystone View Co. $2 more." Text stamped on the verso reads "Photo from Keystone View Co., Inc. of N.Y., 253 Washington St., Boston. Credit must be given, for your use only."
