The Elm Building, located at 63-65 Hanover Street (near the corner of Elm Street), was originally constructed in the late 19th century and served as a commercial and industrial building. Alongside large portions of Scollay Square, Brattle Square, and Adams Square, the building was demolished to make way for the new Government Center development in the 1960s.
