Lottery ticket for the Massachusetts Lottery, May 1758. Issued by the General Court of the Province (colonial Massachusetts) to raise money for military expeditions against the French in Canada; this would end up being the Siege of Louisbourg (summer 1758), which was a pivotal turning point in British dominance during the Seven Years War.
