Description

Design drawing titled "Sheraton Table Maple Decorated" rendered in pencil and watercolor. Perspective view is shown. Rectangular night table table has overhanging top; frieze; two flat tapering sides; horizontal stretcher; and four shallow downswept legs terminating in brass feet. Frieze, sides and stretcher have painted decorative motifs including garlands, cartouches; foliage and bellflowers.Title is handprinted in pencil. Also handwritten in pencil on back is "Maple decorated Bedside Table / Estimate #898 = [illeg] March 1936 Sell $100." Blind stamped at lower left corner is: "Irving and Casson / A. H. Davenport Co. / Boston - New York."
